~How to register for a 2024 summer workshop

DATES and FEES

Registration for Gibsons School of the Arts 2024 summer workshops will open at 10am on January 29th. 

Early bird pricing for classes will apply from January 29th through February 29th. On and after March 1st, the regular class fee will apply. Please note that when taking multiple workshops, there will be a discount of 10% offered for 2nd and subsequent workshops. Fees vary for the workshops because of different lengths. Please see the workshop descriptions for fees for the individual workshops.

Fees cover tuition only. Payment in full must be made when you are advised that your application to enroll has been successful. 

If paying by Visa or MC, credit card info should be submitted on the registration form only if sending by mail. If paying by cheque, cheques should be mailed with your application. 

E-transfers should not be sent until you have been advised that your application to enroll has been successful.

If you send an early e-transfer for a workshop without confirmation you have been accepted, your funds will be held. They will be returned to you after all registrations are completed if you are not successful in enrolling in the class, subject to a small processing fee.

Payments are only refundable up to four weeks before the class, less a $30 processing fee. If a workshop is cancelled, the full registration fee will be refunded.

Registrants are responsible for any expenses incurred for cancelled travel arrangements.

*NOTE: Registration opens on January 29th. You may submit your registration earlier, but all registrations received early will be held until January 29th. Held registrations will not be processed in order of receipt. 

 

There will be blind draws for over-subscribed classes. Please indicate any alternate choice(s) in the event that your first choice class is unavailable. Please be clear and specific about which class your alternate choice references (for example, ‘If Greta Guzek’s class is full, please enroll me in Kai Liu’s workshop’).

 

HOW to REGISTER

Registration can be completed by email (preferred) or conventional mail. Note that registration is not completed (i.e. your space is not assured) until your registration is confirmed by email and payment is received.

Many workshops fill up quickly. If a workshop is full when your application is received, you will be placed on a wait list and you will be advised of your position on the waitlist.
 

To register by email

1. Download the registration form.

2. Complete the form and email it to: gsaregisternow@gmail.com

Follow the instructions on the form. Note that you can type information directly into the fields of the pdf form.

3. Payment is by e-transfer (preferred), credit card (do not email credit card information), or cheque. See the payment instructions below.
 

To register by regular mail

1. Download the registration form.

2. Complete the form, print and mail it to:

           Gibsons School of the Arts

           PO Box 644, Gibsons BC, V0N 1V0

 Note that you can type information directly into the fields of the pdf form.

3. Payment is by e-transfer (preferred), credit card or cheque.

PAYMENT METHODS

Pay by e-transfer (preferred)

E-transfers should not be sent until you have been advised that your application has been successful.

1. Add Gibsons School of the Arts as a new recipient.

2. Use the email address gsaregisternow@gmail.com

3. The transfer is automatic — no question or password is required.

4. In the message area, please list your name as well as the workshop(s) you are paying for.

 Pay by credit card (Mastercard or Visa)

If registering by regular mail: Complete credit card information on the Registration Form and we will charge your credit card for payment.

If registering by email: Indicate payment by credit card and we will contact you for your credit card information. Please do NOT send credit card information by email as emails are not securely protected.

 Pay by cheque

Include your cheque with the mailed application form.
