Workshop location

The workshops are located on the Sunshine Coast in Gibsons, British Columbia, Canada. Gibsons is a very scenic 40-minute ferry ride from Vancouver, B.C.

The Town of Gibsons has received United Nations recognition as the “most liveable community with a population under 20,000” and the local water has also been judged to be the purest in North America.

The summer weather in Gibsons is exceptionally pleasant, but we have to have the odd shower to maintain our famous rain forests, and sometimes the sun gets a little strong and a hat may be needed!

Workshop venue

The school will meet at the Gibsons Curling Club in 2024.

The Gibsons Curling Club is ideally located in Upper Gibsons with easy access to cafes, grocery stores, Gibsons Garden Hotel as well as The Painted Lady, our local art supply store.

This incredibly spacious venue has vaulted ceilings and offers excellent lighting which is ideal for artistic endeavours. Amenities include 3 washrooms and use of the microwave, kettle and fridge in the kitchen area. There is also ample parking around the building.

The Gibsons Curling Club will provide a safe, pleasant and comfortable venue for the 2024 art workshops. It is located at 951 Gibsons Way; directions can be found here: google maps.
