PO Box 644, Gibsons BC, V0N 1V0
Note that many workshops fill up quickly. Applications will be held and opened starting at 9 am on January 15, 2020. If a workshop is overbooked at that time, a draw will be made and unsuccessful applicants will be placed on a wait list. Telephone applications will be received from 10 am on January 15, 2020.
Payment in full, or a deposit of $150 must be made at the time of application – the balance to be paid no later than four weeks before the start of the workshop. If payment in full has not been received by this time, registration will be cancelled and the deposit forfeited. Fees cover tuition only.
If a student is registered in more than one workshop a 10% discount will be applied to the second workshop.
Please do NOT send credit card information by email; emails are not securely protected.
Payments are refundable up to four weeks before the class, but a processing fee of $30 will be retained. If a workshop is cancelled, the full registration fee will be refunded.
Registrants are responsible for any expenses incurred for cancelled travel arrangements.
Each workshop runs from 9 am to 4 pm in the Arts Building, 464 South Fletcher Road, Gibsons, BC. (Please do not mail application forms to this address).
Travel to the Sunshine Coast is via a 40-minute ferry departing from Horseshoe Bay on the Vancouver side. Check the BC Ferries website for details and schedules for the Horseshoe Bay–Langdale ferry. Note that ferry traffic is quite congested in the summer months. To guarantee space on specific ferries and to avoid potentially long ferry wait times a reservation (extra cost) is advised. Reservations must be made in advance; consult the BC Ferries website for details.
A wide variety of accommodation is available in the Gibsons area. For more information see area information on our location page. Note that there can be heavy demand for accommodations in the summer, and we recommend that you book accommodations well ahead of your arrival.
Supply lists for each workshop will be available on the individual workshop pages (at the end of each About the Workshop section); reload/refresh the page if you do not see the link.
For your convenience, you can download a checklist to ensure that you have completed all of the steps to be prepared for your workshop.
Please note that dogs or other pets are not allowed in the class or on the School premises.
Registrants to each workshop are invited to a reception on the evening before the first day of the workshop. You will meet at the Arts Building at 6 pm. Students are encouraged to bring materials and choose their workshop working space. You will then car pool to the reception location where you will meet and socialize with the instructor and fellow students. Two weeks prior to the workshop, students will receive a reminder email with details.
