Gibsons School of the Arts

Workshop location and area information

Workshop location

The workshops are located on the Sunshine Coast in Gibsons, British Columbia, Canada. Gibsons is a very scenic 40-minute ferry ride from Vancouver, B.C.

The School meets in the the Arts Building (adjacent to the Gibsons Library), found at the corner of Wynn Road and South Fletcher Road, overlooking Gibsons Harbour, Keats and Bowen Islands and the North Shore mountains. Directions from anywhere and a scaleable map are available at this link on Google Maps.

The Town of Gibsons has received United Nations recognition as the “most liveable community with a population under 20,000” and the local water has also been judged to be the purest in North America.

The summer weather in Gibsons is exceptionally pleasant, but we have to have the odd shower to maintain our famous rain forests, and sometimes the sun gets a little strong and a hat may be needed!
