Gibsons & Area Information
The Town of Gibsons has received United Nations recognition as the “most liveable community with a population under 20,000″ and the local water has also been judged to be the purest in North America.
The School meets in the former Gibsons Library, now known as “the Arts Building”, found at the corner of Wynn Road and South Fletcher Road, overlooking Gibsons Harbour, Keats and Bowen Islands and the North Shore mountains.
The summer weather in Gibsons is exceptionally pleasant, but we have to have the odd shower to maintain our famous rain forests, and sometimes the sun gets a little strong and a hat may be needed!
Partners who wish to accompany students to enjoy a holiday locally will find many activities to entertain them. There is tennis, hiking, boating, horseback riding, and four golf courses with varying degrees of difficulty. There are many festivals held on the Sunshine Coast in the summer months. We recommend that you visit the links to the right of this page for more information.
