JENNIFER DRYSDALE & PHYLLIS SURGES
~ Just Press Play: Image Development Through the Etching Press
About the workshop
Medium: various media for printmaking
Levels: All levels
Following Jennifer’s 4-day workshop, this stand-alone 1-day workshop provides an opportunity to develop imagery through collagraph, acetate “intaglio” and litho-like frosted acetate printmaking.
Bring finished work or sketchbook ideas and manipulate or extend your imagery through a print process. You will compose and execute the print plate, correctly ink and wipe it, and finally register and pull the finished print. Prepare to experiment and be amazed.
Taught by artist Jennifer Drysdale and art educator (SD 44 & Artists for Kids) Phyllis Surges.
You do not have to have enrolled in a summer 2019 GSA course to sign up for this workshop. Prior experience in printmaking is not required— here’s an opportunity to add an exciting new technique to you artist’s toolkit.
